Bruce Fetzer serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Paradox Science Institute. There he is responsible for helping to develop and implement strategic plans that integrate wisdom-based knowledge and practices into scientific inquiry.

He has degrees in chemical engineering (summa cum laude) and an MBA (honored). He has more than forty years of experience leading large non-profit organizations. As the former President, CEO and trustee of the John E. Fetzer Memorial Trust, Treasurer, Trustee and VP Finance of the John E. Fetzer Institute, and advisor to several philanthropists establishing large foundations, he has helped to develop and fund complex global programs with impact and efficiency. He concurrently was Trustee, Secretary, and provided leadership in the Foundation Financial Officers Group where he helped to guide hundreds of large non-profit organizations in establishing best-practices.

His expertise focuses on operating virtual, lean organizations with impactful outcomes. Notable programs under his leadership include the Fetzer Franklin Fund and its signature programs in relational reality and metascience. He supported major programs to develop emotional intelligence, relationship centered care, contemplative mind in society, and other signature programs.

He explores wisdom traditions and is a lifelong spiritual seeker. Many of his practices include Shabt yoga, Mahamudra, Yoga Nidra, and numerous skills and training to heighten inner experiences. His search has led to a life of service.

His advocation is to help philanthropists harness the power of scientific inquiry to explore anomalous phenomena in nature and ancient wisdom. He is married with three daughters, and enjoys outdoor sports, scuba diving, nature and fitness.
