“Every discovery starts with curiosity”
Jean Adams serves as Operations Manager for Paradox Science Institute. In that position, she manages all contracts, financial transactions, and other operational needs.
Jean brings experience of over 25 years in philanthropy, serving in COO and CFO positions for both private and community foundations. In her most recent position at the Minneapolis Foundation, she oversaw the infrastructure required to manage over 1,200 accounts and $1 billion in assets. In 2022, she began seeking roles to help build transformative organizations doing work in which she was personally interested. She was immediately drawn to the mission and spirit of Paradox Science Institute. Jean is fascinated by the connection between our hearts, minds, and the mysteries of nature. Her work with Paradox stretches her to think about the abilities within each of us and the possibilities for how we can make this world a better place for all.
Jean earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a mini-MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Jean has served on numerous nonprofit boards, both local and national, sharing her deep knowledge of the requirements needed to be a successful organization.
She and her husband have two adult daughters and are now empty nesters living on the Mississippi River in Minnesota. There they are reminded that nature, like life, is constantly evolving.
